I purchased Eiffel Tower tickets today. Since I haven’t been to France before, I wanted to see at least some of the typical tourist attractions. The Eiffel Tower is one of the “must see” locations in Paris. Going to the top is optional, but you have to at least see it… right? Previously, the only way to get tickets was to stand in line at the ticket booth at the bottom of the tower. Lines could last for hours. Recently, they have started booking electronic tickets. We discovered this by reading Budget Travel Magazine. As Sarah has been there and done that, Paul and I are headed to the top… the very top. I’ll be sure to have some fellow tourist take some nice romantic pictures of us to post when we get there.

Ahhh Delta. Thanks a lot. Our itinerary has been changed pretty significantly. We were supposed to leave Atlanta at around 7:30pm on March 18th, but now we’re leaving at 3:30pm. This means that we get into Paris at around 5:00am on the 19th. Earlier than we wanted. Hopefully the hotel will allow us to drop our bags off until we can check in.
The other change has us leaving Paris a little earlier on the 24th, but now the layover in Amsterdam is 5 hours long. This will put us back into Atlanta on the 24th at ~7:30pm as opposed to the original 3:00pm. I guess we can look at the bright side… rush hour will be mostly over by the time we make our way up I-75.

Hi everyone. This blog is my feeble attempt to give all those who are interested information and updates on our trip to Paris, France. For those who don’t know, Sarah and I will be heading to Paris, sans Marlise, in March. It will be our first trip anywhere without Marlise. We’ll miss her a lot, but she’s in the loving care of my parents who will spoil her beyond recognition, I’m sure. So sit back, enjoy and live vicariously through our experiences. Oh, and make some comments as well!
